Program Description:

The Associate Degree in Coding and Medical Billing Specialist program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to assign accurate medical codes for diagnostic procedures and other services offered by health care professionals. Students will learn various administrative functions that are related to insurance claims, process compliance, and reimbursement.

Program Objectives:

Students of the Associate Degree program will:

  • Develop the ability to use medical language systems and the classification of code and diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform various office and administrative tasks related to health insurers.
  • Provide the necessary foundations for the student to develop as a leader with a high ethical sense and social responsibility.
